In February I got stuck doing a little Mini Album "Quasar City Limits".
It has four different versions - now I'm curious of your view on Quasar!
Are there other colours to Quasar? Are there version #5, #6, #7,... somewhere out there?
I uploaded a self-extracting file with all 16 layers in mp3@224Kbps of that raw jewel to this place:
Quasar_Remix_Pack
Get it there and have a crunch on it!
Cut it, edit it, pitch it, pinch it, warp it, dump it, delete layers, add your own musical flow - let's go!
Anything goes :D
(My beat-machine says, it's 94 bpm. Maybe this is a clue, if you want to give it a different rhythmic flava...)
As this isn't a competition, there are no prizes, no extra income, no new universe to be won -
it's just for the pure fun of it!
To every game there are rules - the same Dementio13 has at his Quest for Remixes:
1. Credit the track to "baskyl" as the artist, however append your artist name and remix title in the title of the song.
And - as Quasar is a very colourful place - I'd like to ask you choose some sort of colour in your rmx.
The title in this very specific case should read like this for instance: "Quasar City Limits (Dementio13's Orange Orgasmotron Mix)".
2. You must allow the track for free upload on Last.fm and elsewhere.
3. You must send me the completed remix as an MP3 (pref at 160kbps or above) for upload to my site.
4. You cannot put the track up for purchase anywhere at all.....its my policy I'm afraid......(you can however allow an 'optional donation' for the track if you want....but bare in mind that it'll be free on Last.fm anyway).
5. You can add vocals if you want, making it a 'song' rather than instrumental track, but it must retain its original title. Otherwise its just karaoke ain't it?!
6. Copyright should be 'Baskyl/your artist name'.
Now, have a crunch on them files!
I'm really looking forward to what you will come up with.
Have fun remixing that weird stuff :D
