As some of you know from listening, I seem to have accrued a rather substantial back catalogue, all of which can be heard on Last.fm.
Now, I don't know if any of you have a similar dilemma (though I suspect you do), but I seem to be very dissatisfied with my old tracks.....what do you do when your tracks are 'out there' in the public domain, but you hate listening to them? (Incidentally, I must say that I'm not including my recent stuff done with Pixieguts....she adds a different dimension to the tracks and I think they stand on their own).
Well, I figured that the tracks need a new lease of life; so what I'm asking is that some of you remix some of my tracks. PLEEEAAASSSEEE!!!
Now, this isn't a competition, nor is it going to gain you any income.......so I'm appealling to your artistic and creative abilities and asking you to be charitable (!).
The tracks will be credited to 'dementio13', but will contain the title of the remix (and the remixer) in the song title.... this seems to be common accepted practise, and is fair enough I reckon.
I'm away from home right now, so I can't put the loops up for download just yet, but I will do so in a few days.
If you're interested, please reply here to let me know.
Also, there are a couple of little 'rules' I ask you to observe:
1. Credit the track to "Dementio13" as the artist, however append your artist name and remix title in the title of the song; ie: "Shake Me Up (Colin's Monkeytronic Mix)".
2. You must allow the track for free upload on Last.fm and elsewhere.
3. You must send me the completed remix as an MP3 (pref at 160kbps or above) for upload to my various sites.
4. You cannot put the track up for purchase anywhere at all.....its my policy I'm afraid......(you can however allow an 'optional donation' for the track if you want....but bare in mind that it'll be free on Last.fm anyway).
5. You can add vocals if you want, making it a 'song' rather than instrumental track, but it must retain its original title. Otherwise its just karaoke ain't it?!
6. Copyright should be 'Dementio13/your artist name'.
Anyway....I hope you still want to partake after those rather official sounding, but fair, requirements!
Will post a link once I'm home and have uploaded the files.
Cheers,
Paul
