Whether it is bouncing and melodious or glitch laden and jazz ridden, the show of Friday the 9th of October is a well stocked larder of electronic music. All this before an interest in footwear takes us in another direction that eventually leads us up up and away. Next stop the great Square of Pegasus and more electronics twinkling in the night sky.

If you live in a time zone where it is the darkest of night or the bleariest of early mornings when Analogue Island is on, fear not. Thanks to Julian the station manager, and his unswerving devotion to serving his listenership, you will now be able to tune in to all that is good in the world of independent music at a time when you feel human.

From this Tuesday Analogue Island will be broadcast at 8am UTC/GMT (that's 9 am British Summer Time).

The usual Thursday and Friday time slots apply (see http://www.last.fm/group/Analogue+Island+Tours for details)

This week's Analogue Island is subtly concerned with matters existential, with fine offerings from We vs Death and d_rradio simultaneously lifting us up while reminding us that it is all bound to end sooner rather than later.

The new blog on blogspot is developing nicely with reviews and news. http://analogueisland.blogspot.com/

Oh yes it is. Back with a new show this Friday.

From South American Electro Punk to Robotic Nordic Amazonians, this week's analogue island is a show of contradictions. Oh no it's not.

We give first plays to the new single from Watch and a track from Barbagallo's new album Floppy Disk, dip our toes into the creative cauldron that is Sonic Weekend (would take a taste from the cauldron be a better analogy? Though the word Cauldron does come from the Latin caldarium meaning hot bath.....). Anyway - dip or taste - take your pick.
